33 days, 4 continents and numerous entries - #GoRemote covered the world. Hundreds of young people around the globe grabbed a chance to take part in the contest, showcase their talent and portray the benefits of remote work in their entries.
The battle was tough, especially, in the Script category. Two contestants were going step in step. And finally, on the 20th December we announced the winners:
Best Video - Atanas Stefanov:Have you ever dream for a change?
Best Script - Gift Agboro:You want to have the world like I do at anywhere you are? Then Go remote.
The second place in the Script category was taken by Nikita Selyanin and his letter to Santa: Dear Santa. I just want to get a job this New Year.
Overall, we’ve received entries from contestants of different nationalities, coming from different parts of the world (except Alaska). Nevertheless, they all share the passion for the remote work lifestyle and see it as the future of the workplace. We’ve been fascinated going through their works and seeing how the remote work concept is being perceived in various countries. Each of the participants had his/her own reasons why the ability to work remotely was important.
In course of #GoRemote we’ve also encountered many companies and communities which shared our ideas. We’ve made valuable partnerships which would last beyond the campaign. We greatly appreciate the assistance of our valuable partners who helped us to make #GoRemote a success. Big prizes were provided by SendGrid, International Open Academy, EventTrix and Genashtim.
Besides, all the participants got a free course certificate from Trendimi, International Open Academy, EventTrix, and Holly&Hugo. Also, all of them will be invited to attend a VC Talk webinar on raising the funding for a startup by DYNAX on the 11th of January.
#GoRemote has spread a word about the benefits of remote work across the globe and, hopefully, it will inspire even more people to take advantage of the remote lifestyle in the future.
