Transformify, a global corporate social responsibility (CSR) platform, has entered into a partnership with Genashtim, a provider of online learning solutions, in an initiative to bridge the skills gap by providing e-learning opportunities.
Skills and knowledge are essential for social development. The shortage of skilled workers across a number of industries is a complex and significant challenge faced by many businesses worldwide. Over the next decade, the humanity will witness more technological change than it has seen in the past 50 years. Thus, the demand for knowledgeable workers with high levels of technical and soft skills will only increase.
Back in 2014, Career Builder has published a research where 81 percent of hiring managers said it was at least “Somewhat Difficult” to fill open roles due to lack of skills, and 61 percent said they had an experience of hiring a person who was not totally qualified for the position.
The problem is that not all the people looking for a job have access to training resources to acquire the skills which are of high demand. Not all of the people who are talented and have potential can afford to pay for additional education and certification.
The initiative launched by Transformify and supported by its valuable partner, Genashtim, will help those who can not afford the skills training to access it on - line. The e-learning will be available for all Transformify users worldwide and will enable them to acquire the necessary qualification demanded by employers. E-learning is a convenient way for people worldwide to acquire knowledge using their computers, tablets or phones, and Internet access.
Mastering the skills which are of high demand on the market plays a great role in securing employment nowadays. Thus, bridging the skill gap, people increase their chances of getting hired and receive better remuneration. It will not only make a difference in their lives, but will also enrich the society now and for the future.
