urpose

The EMA PAS & MMS business controller is responsible for driving and ensuring successful management, analysis and support of all aspects of the EMA PAS and MMS financials.

The role is to be primarily business controller for the PAS EMA business and be part of the WW PAS finance LT team. He will also act as the Finance Business partner for the EMA MMS Business director, supporting the EMEA business controller in the region

This includes management reporting, budget and forecast activities, strategic planning, price management, distribution management, incentive plans... This is a key finance partner role to provide business partnering to the regional business directors and help drive improved financial and business performance.

Main Responsibilities
Responsible for monthly income statement reporting to WW Business and EMA Region, including sales and profitability analysis. Analyse and monitor business performance, assess risk and opportunities and pro-actively work with the business leadership teams in order to build up mitigation plans and corrective actions where needed.
Lead all aspects of the BD financial processes in the region, including the annual budget, the 3-year Annual Strategic Plan and the quarterly forecasts for PAS and MMS. Responsible for ensuring sales, pricing assumptions, expenses, risks and opportunities are properly reflected in the financials and communicated to the WW businesses and the EMA region, and
Finance business partner to the EMA PAS and MMS business directors, in order to drive profitable growth in the region. Communicate clearly and timely financial results; provide fact based and insightful decision support.
Partners with the PAS and MMS teams in the development of growth strategies and tactics by compelling business cases and providing insightful business support. This includes growth accelerators, go to market strategies, distribution management, pricing management,
Work in close relationship with the EMA finance team and the shared resources groups (COE, GBS, BPA, …)
Special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required
Ensure compliance to BD policies and adequate protection of the BD assets

Interactions
PAS and MMS EMA leadership teams, especially the regional business leaders, platform leaders, marketing teams
EMA finance team, WW PAS and MMS finance teams
Shared resources (BPA, COE, GBS)
EMA functions: customer service, supply-chain, regulatory, etc…

Qualifications And Person Specification
Degree in Business, finance, marketing, economics or related field of study, or equivalent related work experience
Accounting qualification - qualified (DESS or UK CA, US CPA)
Significant proven experience in the following areas is required:
In an international audit firm or related experience OR
Manufacturing environment or related experience OR
Years as business analyst in sales and marketing OR
High volume low cost manufacturing experience preferred
Experience of multi-country consolidation preferred
Experience in:
International company (preferably Fortune 500 company)
Medical device, Pharmaceutical or FMCG (electronics) preferred
Proven track record in influencing Commercial teams to deliver growth through price and profitability management
Pricing qualification would be advantageous but not mandatory
Fluent in English - An additional European Language preferred but not mandatory
Experience in ERP (preferably SAP), executive Information Systems (Hyperion or BPC preferred), pricing software (Vendavo would be advantageous)
US GAAP knowledge essential
