We are looking for an experienced Product Innovation Manager to join the team of one of our clients. This is a full time position that offers a competitive salary and many outstanding benefits. "Relocation assistance available" Job Responsibilities & Duties: Maximize the productivity and output of the R&D team working closely with the R&D Director, lab technicians, and Product Development Manager to execute projects Champions the advanced innovation efforts for Purafil collaborating both internally and externally to ensure products remain at the forefront of technology Develops IP strategy and ensures that IP documentation has been completed to protect new products and/or technologies Develops and executes strategies to ensure NPD projects are delivered on time and reduce project cycle times Support organization in areas such as strategic planning, market development, regular project updates, key customer visits, conference and trade show attendance, and technical service. Monitor the progress and provide gate-keeping for R&D projects and ensure each project and initiative is completed on schedule and on budget. - Research all available raw materials, fibers and chemicals which could lead to improved products and cost reductions. - Assist with lab reviews/audits to ensure that all testing equipment and procedures follow industry standards - Occasional formal and informal presentations to management and/or customers - Evaluate different chemical impregnation, calcination, material application techniques - Interpreting project/trial results and making recommendations to leadership regarding product and/or process changes - Develop and execute prototype test plans and product design verification study plans. - Willingness and flexibility to travel in support of trials & customers. - Assess current situation, draw conclusions, plan and implement appropriate solutions. -- Develop and monitor project(s) budget and schedules, forecast completion, and identifies and resolves threats to on-time project completion. Education and Experience: - Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymers from an accredited institution is required. - Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymers preferred - Strong analytical and dry/wet chemistry skills: FTIR, XRD, material content, etc. - Hands-on experience with analytical characterization techniques and test equipment - Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and/or Statistical Analysis
