TFY operates globally and supports businesses with workforce management, contractor payroll, contractor management, Contractor of Record, talent acquisition services via AI-powered Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and global compliance solutions.
Who can join the TFY Referral Program?
The program is open to both individuals and businesses worldwide. You can participate as a freelancer or consultant, a recruitment or staffing agency, a payroll or HR consultancy, a technology implementation partner, a business network or association, or a content creator or influencer in HR, remote work, payroll, or global hiring. Participants must comply with TFY’s Referral Agreement and all applicable laws.
How does the referral process work?
Join the TFY Referral Program, complete the mandatory KYC/KYB verification, receive your unique referral link, and introduce potential business clients to TFY through your link or via direct written introduction. TFY evaluates and onboards the referred potential business clients. Once the referee becomes a paying customer, commissions begin accruing. TFY pays commissions monthly according to the Referral Agreement. A referee becomes a “Qualified Referee” only after the referred customer completes the onboarding process and signs a binding agreement with TFY.
How much can I earn as a Referral?
TFY pays a 20% recurring commission based on the net revenue actually received from your qualified referee for the first 180 days after the referred potential client becomes a paying customer. Example: if you refer a company that spends £5,000 per month on TFY services and the client remains active for 6 months, the net eligible revenue totals £30,000 over 180 days, and your commission would be 20% × £30,000 = £6,000. Another example: a recruitment agency refers a fast-growing mid-sized company using TFY Contractor of Record services for international contractor management spending €12,000 monthly for 6 months (total eligible revenue €72,000), earning 20% × €72,000 = €14,400. There is no maximum earning limit. Your income potential depends entirely on the size and number of successful referees. Commissions are calculated on net revenue, excluding VAT, refunds, payment processing fees, chargebacks, third-party provider costs, and pass-through contractor payroll volumes.
When do commissions get paid?
Referral commissions are paid within ten business days after the end of the calendar month in which TFY receives payment from the referred client. For example: your referral pays TFY on March 15, your commission is processed after March ends, and payment is issued within the first 10 days of April.
What is a Qualified Referee?
A referee is a potential business customer of TFY referred by a Referral. A referee qualifies when: the referee was not already in active discussions with TFY, was not already an onboarded active customer of TFY, was submitted through your referral link or approved introduction, signs a commercial agreement with TFY, successfully completes onboarding and compliance checks, and TFY receives payment from the referee. Only qualified referees generate commissions.
Is there a limit to the number of referees I can submit?
No. You can refer as many businesses as you want. Many partners use the TFY Referral Program as an additional recurring revenue stream alongside consulting, HR, payroll, accounting, publishing, content creation, recruitment or other services.
Which TFY services are eligible for referral commissions?
Referral commissions may apply to TFY workforce management solutions, including Contractor of Record (also known as Agent of Record), AI-powered Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Human Resources Management System (HRMS), Contractor payroll, Workforce compliance, and HR and workforce automation solutions.
Do I need to sign a contract to participate?
Yes. Participants are required to agree to the TFY Referral Agreement before earning commissions. The agreement outlines payment terms, compliance requirements, confidentiality obligations, and acceptable marketing practices.
Can I promote TFY using my own marketing channels?
Yes. Referral partners may market and promote TFY using approved branding, trademarks, and marketing materials supplied by TFY. However, you must follow TFY brand guidelines and cannot make misleading claims or unauthorized promises on behalf of TFY.
Are there any prohibited marketing practices?
Yes. Referral partners must not send spam communications, use deceptive or misleading advertising, infringe third-party intellectual property rights, promote TFY alongside illegal or offensive content, or misrepresent themselves as TFY employees or agents. TFY may suspend or terminate referrals that violate these rules.
Are there any prohibited industries?
Yes. TFY does not accept referrals operating in prohibited or high-risk industries listed in TFY’s compliance policy. Examples include illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, human organs and weapons, counterfeit goods, unauthorized copyrighted software or media, hacking and cracking materials, child exploitation content, shell banks, escort services and adult entertainment, unlicensed gambling or lottery businesses, payday lenders, credit repair services, tobacco and e-cigarettes, fireworks, steroids, telemarketing companies, loan modification services, and penny auctions. TFY reserves the right to reject any referral that does not meet compliance standards or may create legal, regulatory, or reputational risk.
Can TFY reject a referee?
Yes. TFY has sole discretion to accept or reject any referred business. Reasons for rejection may include compliance concerns, prohibited industries, existing relationship with TFY, fraud or suspicious activity, regulatory restrictions, or failed onboarding checks.
Do I receive commissions forever?
No. Standard commissions apply for 180 days from the date the referred business first becomes a paying client. Future commission structures may change, and TFY reserves the right to modify the program with written notice.
What is “net revenue”?
Net revenue refers to the actual revenue received by TFY after excluding VAT and taxes, payment processing fees, banking fees, refunds, chargebacks, third-party provider costs, and pass-through contractor payroll and vendor management volumes. Referral commissions are calculated only on eligible net revenue.
Can I refer a company already talking to TFY?
No. Referral commissions are only paid for companies that were not already engaged in active discussions, negotiations, or commercial relationships with TFY at the time of introduction.
Is the TFY Referral Program available internationally?
Yes. TFY works with global partners and accepts referrals from many countries, subject to local laws and compliance requirements. Referral partners are responsible for complying with applicable regulations in their own jurisdiction, including tax and marketing laws.
How does TFY handle compliance and data protection?
TFY and referral partners must comply with applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Referral partners should only share business contact information lawfully and must avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal data. TFY also requires compliance with anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws.
Can I use TFY logos and branding?
Yes, but only for authorized promotional purposes and according to TFY brand guidelines. You may not alter TFY trademarks or misuse company branding. TFY may revoke branding permissions at any time.
What happens if the Referral Agreement is terminated?
If the agreement ends, you must stop using TFY branding and marketing materials. Existing unpaid commissions already earned before termination remain payable. Future commissions stop accruing unless otherwise agreed in writing. TFY may terminate participation immediately for fraud, legal violations, misleading conduct, or reputational risks.
